The Birkman

The Birkman method is a powerful instrument that has been used by over 1.5 million people in the last 40 years.  Results are generated through an interactive database of 750,000 individuals.  As a career management tool, it provides information on an individual’s operational styles, underlying needs and stress behaviours, organizational strengths and career interests.  The individual receives a detailed report that uses a combination of text, graphs and colour to display the information in a meaningful manner.  Other applications of the Birkman include coaching, career development, team building and recruitment.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality inventory that many organizations use to help individuals understand how their personality type influences behavior.  By discovering their four-letter personality code, employees determine their strengths, learn how their type contributes to the developmental needs.  The MBTI has been used successfully in career management, organizational development, team building and leadership training.

Strong Interest Inventory

The Strong Interest Inventory (Strong) assessment measures an individual’s broad range of occupations, work activities, leisure activities, and school subjects.  Composed of 317 items, it provides results on 6 General Occupational Themes, Basic Interst Scales, 211 Occupational Scales, and 4 Personal Style Scales.  Using the Strong, candidates can plan each step along their Job Search or career path with one goal in mind:  to match their interests with satisfying careers.  It can help them make career decisions, seek more satisfying work within an organization or explore career options.  Organizations, looking to retain star performers and key staff, can also benefit from using the Strong Interest Inventory.

Disc

This easy to complete on-line instrument provides employees with the opportunity to learn about their tendencies, needs and preferred environments, become aware of their potential strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies to become more effective in their positions.  Additional reports provide managers/leaders with helpful suggestions on how to bring out the best in their employees by focusing on how to manage them, help them manage others and create more positive relationships overall.
